The American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers (AAADM) is a trade association of manufacturers of automatic pedestrian door systems. AAADM was founded in 1994 to promote safety in the manufacture and operation of automatic doors throughout the industry.
American Architectural Manufacturers Association Since our inception in 1936, AAMA has become recognized for the development of standards that provide third-party validation of product performance and quality.  Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA) ALOA provides training and certification courses for the locksmith industry. ALOA is trying to make it so you have to prove you are qualified, through testing to call yourself a locksmith. Their efforts are with the press, public awareness campaigns as well as with the political arena. working for the Locksmith industry, promoting the best interest of the welfare of their membership.
American National Standards Institute As the voice of the U.S. standards and conformity assessment system, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) empowers it's members and constituents to strengthen the U.S. marketplace position in the global economy while helping to assure the safety and health of consumers and the protection of the environment. The Institute oversees the creation, promulgation and use of thousands of norms and guidelines that directly impact businesses in nearly every sector; from acoustical devices to construction equipment, from dairy and livestock production to energy distribution, and many more. ANSI is also actively engaged in accrediting programs that assess conformance to standards – including globally-recognized cross-sector programs such as the ISO 9000 (quality) and ISO 14000 (environmental) management system.

Builder Hardware manufacturers Association BHMA was founded in 1925 as the Hardware Manufacturers’ Statistical Association. Although the association continues to collect proprietary statistics for its member companies, BHMA today is nationally recognized for it's leadership role in ensuring the quality and performance of builders hardware. Join BHMA! More than 80 percent of all U.S. manufacturers of builders hardware are BHMA members. Together these companies produce the vast majority of the hardware items used in the nation’s commercial and institutional buildings - from hinges and locks to door controls and exit devices. Construction Specifications Institute CSI is a national association dedicated to creating standards and formats to improve construction documents and project delivery. The organization is unique in the industry in that its members are a cross section of specifiers, architects, engineers, contractors and building materials suppliers. The organization has 146 chapters and more than 15,000 members. Monthly Chapter meetings allow members the opportunity to communicate openly with their counterparts and exchange information for successful project management. CSI is renowned in the industry for its rigorous certification programs for professionals seeking to improve their knowledge of accurate and concise construction documents. CSI provides continuing education, professional conferences, and product shows.
Door and Hardware Institute (DHI)
The Door and Hardware Institute (DHI) represents the architectural openings industry. With ancestry dating back to 1934, the Institute has more than 5,000 members in the United States, Canada and abroad. Membership consists of individuals and consultants involved in the architectural openings industry, representing distributors, manufacturers and sales representatives/agency firms, as well as architects, specifiers and contractors who rely on such professionals.
Door Safety Council The Door Safety Council (DSC) is a coalition of concerned building trade organizations formed to address issues of life safety. The need for properly operating fire doors and doors in the means of egress are a primary focus, as they are an integral link in the life safety and property protection chain. As far back as 1911, at the time of the Triangle Shirt waist, Fire Code Officials have understood the importance of creating codes, governing means of egress and protection against the spread of fire and smoke. Current codes require the inspection of elevators, sprinkler systems and overhead doors, while remaining silent on doors designed to provide similar degrees of protection. Adding requirements for the annual inspection of egress and fire doors is crucial to maintaining high standards of life safety and property protection.
National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association For nearly 60 years, the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) has supported the changing needs of its members, the industry and the nation. A non-profit 501(c) 6 trade association, the NBFAA has evolved into the largest professional trade association in the United States with the purpose of representing, promoting and enhancing the growth and professional development of the electronic life safety, security, and integrated systems industry. In cooperation with a federation of state associations, NBFAA provides government advocacy and delivers timely information, professional development tools, products and services that members use to grow and prosper their businesses. Securityy Hardware Distributors Association (SHDA)
The organization's objectives are to promote to suppliers and customers the value of distributors, to provide educational programming to help make Distributor and Associate Members more effective, efficient, and profitable. They also foster the partnership between Distributors and Manufacturers, provide information on industry trends, data, and statistics, as well as technological advancements.
Security Industry Association The Security Industry Association (SIA) is a nonprofit international trade association representing electronic and physical security product manufacturers, specifiers, and service providers. SIA promotes growth and professionalism within the security industry by providing education, research, technical standards and representation and defense of its members’ interests. SIA is the sole sponsor of the International Security Conference and Exhibitions (ISC EXPOs). SIA's members include professionals from every phase of the business from manufacture to installation, and their clients run the gamut of the economic sector: commercial, institutional, residential, and government. Window and Door Manufacturers Association The Window & Door Manufacturers Association is a trade association representing the leading producers of sash, frames, window units, skylights, flush doors, stile, rail doors and sliding patio door units for the domestic and export markets. Members sell to distributors, dealers, builders, remodelers, architects, contractors and other specifiers in residential, commercial and institutional markets. WDMA members manufacture high performance products designed and built to performance-based standards. There are three basic types of WDMA memberships; Manufacturer members, Supplier members and Professional members. Manufacturer membership is open to any company that manufactures windows, doors or skylights within North America. Supplier membership is open to any company that provides a product, component, material or service that is used in manufacturing windows, doors or skylights (Supplier membership is not restricted to North America). If a company should qualify under both the Manufacturer and Supplier categories, they will be considered a Manufacturer member. Professional membership is available to those individuals who are not directly involved in the industry through either of the other two categories (i.e., architects, engineers, builders, contractors, specifiers, etc), but do have an interest in staying current with industry developments.
